For the past 5 years Louisiana Honor Air & Associated Travel have provided one-day trips for all WW II Veterans, free of charge, by chartered aircraft, from New Orleans to Washington D.C. These local heroes have the opportunity to spend the day touring the Washington Mall, the World War II Memorial, the Korean War Veterans, Vietnam and Iwo Jima Memorials. Veterans also visit Arlington National Cemetery and lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The Veterans are escorted by local volunteers.
