Nassau Bahamas -
(by
Delia Kolb
) I was able to visit hotels on Paradise Island and Cable Beach on Nassau Bahamas. Below is a summary of the places and the area.
Paradise Island- is about a 30 minute taxi ride from the Nassau airport. The taxi fare is approximately $10 each way per person from the airport to Paradise Island. The Island has great beaches and is quite expensive. For example, a candy bar $3, and a bag of Oreos $9. There is little shopping.
Atlantis Resort-The Atlantis Resort is very big and very expensive. It offers a fabulous water park, which is included in your hotel stay, great beaches and quiet lagoons. It also has a marina. The restaurants are quite expensive. The buffet at the Royal Towers was $28 per person for breakfast and $55 per person for dinner. The buffet at the Cove was $75 per person for dinner. A meal at the a la cart restaurants averages about $75 per person and the steakhouse about $125 per person for dinner. The service was good and the people were very friendly. You can pay for a day pass to the resort, $110 per adult and $85 for children 11 and under. This will allow you access to the pools, water park and beaches. It has a very lively night club and casino. There is a free shuttle that runs throughout the resort.
Riu All Inclusive Resort-This is located next door to the Atlantis. It is a small 3 star resort with limited amenities, a small spa and work out area. It is directly on the beach and offers a beachfront pool. Good value for the price and customers can use the casino at the Atlantis and pay for a day pass for the Atlantis water park and huge pool areas.

Nova Scotia

I just returned from a trip to Nova Scotia and although I have been a few times, I spent most of my time in Halifax with a few days touring the southern coast to show my daughter and a quick trip to Charlottetown, PEI to “see what I could see”. more>>
Niagara Falls

Great Destination for families. Drive from Buffalo, NY is only 30 to 45minutes. We stayed in the Marriott Fallsview hotel, which is directly above Table Rock, in the heart of Niagara Parks. There are a lot of hotels with great views of the falls but I recommend you stay on the Canadian side because the city is much larger and has more attractions than those on the US side. The Maid of the Mist boat tour is a real must do attraction. more>>
